CSV Improved 1.5 update
Many people have been asking when there will be a Joomla 1.5 native version of CSV Improved. Converting a component from Joomla 1.0 to a native Joomla 1.5 component requires a lot of work. This is what I have been working on for the last few months and can say now that a release date is coming in view. A list of tasks that have been done and still have to be done can be found in the todo list. This list is far from complete but gives a good view of what is going on. The soft deadline for the release of CSV Improved 1.5 is early december 2008.
New features
Some of the new features will include:
- Order export with options:
- by order number
- by date range
- by order status
- by price
- by customer name
- Product and multiple prices import with price calculations:
Both actual values or percentages can be used- Add
- Subtract
- Divide
- Multiply
- Logging
- Log import attempts and results
- Log export attempts
- Via the log menu review who and when attempted an import/export
These features are already implemented a few more are on the todo list and will be finalized for the 1.5 release.

CSV Improved 1.5 goes commercial
Developing, maintaining, hosting, and supporting CSV Improved takes a lot of time, effort and love. This has been from the day CSV Improved started two years ago and still continues today and will continue in the future. However to be able to give dedicated support, improve the program, update documentation and take care of all side tasks there is need for more than just love. CSV Improved deserves dedicated time and support to make the program better and improve the user experience. The price has been set at € 20.- (excluding tax if applicable) per year per domain.
To be able to use CSV Improved 1.5 Ioncube either needs to be installed on the server or allowed to load on runtime. Full instructions on how to install the Ioncube loader can be found here. Now is a good time to check your system so you are ready when CSV Improved 1.5 is released.
