Do I need a subscription?

A subscription is needed to register CSVI VirtueMart 1.5 and above to be entitled to paid member support and the newest releases. The program will work without limitation without a subscription but will show an unregistered message.

What is a production/development domain?

The production domain is the domain where your live site is. The development domain is the domain where you develop and test your site. To find out what you need to fill in for your domain, go to CSVI VirtueMart on your website. Go to the About section and check the domain name there, this is the domain you fill in.

Why should I register?

  • Access to videos/tutorials/how to/etc as they become available
  • Support on-going development

Where do I subscribe?

A subscription can be bought from the shop.

What kind of subscriptions are there?

There are 3 kinds of subscriptions:

  1. 1-year subscription grants paid member support and priority updates for 1 year from date of purchase
  2. 2-year subscription grants paid member support and priority updates for 2 year from date of purchase
  3. 3-year subscription grants paid member support and priority updates for 3 year from date of purchase

How much does a subscription cost?

The prices are as follows from 01-01-2010:

  • 1-year subscription: € 30,-
  • 2-year subscription: € 55,-
  • 3-year subscription: € 80,-

All prices are excluding tax. Tax will be charged when applicable

Can I get a discount?

No, it is not possible to get a discount. The price of CSVI VirtueMart is very low priced, compare 30 euros a year to the man-hours saved for not having to input the data manually and it becomes clear you save already quite a lot.

Will CSVI VirtueMart still work after my subscription has expired?

Yes, CSVI VirtueMart will still work but a message will be displayed your copy is unregistered.

I have more than 1 webshop, do I need more subscriptions?

A subscription is linked to the top level domain, e.g. csvimproved.com. In case each webshop has it's own top level domain e.g. csvimproved.nl and csvimproved.de, each webshop requires it's own subscription.

If the webshops are setup as subdomains, only 1 subscription is needed. For example nl.csvimproved.com and de.csvimproved.com are seen as 1 because the top level domain is still csvimproved.com.

Are upgrades/new versions free?

New upgrades and versions are provided free of charge to paid members. After a new release comes out the old version will become available to the general public.

My development server is different from my production server, can I use the same subscription?

Yes, you can. Inform us of your development server and we will add it to your production subscription.

Where is my subscription?

The subscription system works as follows:

  1. When buying the subscription you enter the domain name which you will use for your subscription
  2. After successful payment, the domain name is added to the subscription server, the subscription key is then available from the Account Maintenance section
  3. Go to Account Maintenance
  4. Your domain or domains will be listed with their subscription key
  5. in CSVI VirtueMart go to the Settings section and paste the subscription key found on the Account maintenance page. Click Save.  Click one the About link to refresh the page.
    1. If your subscription is valid, CSVI VirtueMart will continue without a message
    2. If you do not have a valid subscription, a notice will show saying your copy is not registered

CSVI VirtueMart says I do not have a subscription

  • Click on the About page and see what domain name is shown there, this must match the domain name you entered when buying the subscription. In case this does not match, please send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to have it changed.
