Exporting data with CSVI VirtueMart

To export data from CSVI VirtueMart a few steps have to be taken. For CSVI VirtueMart to know what to export you have to tell CSVI VirtueMart exactly what you want.

Steps to create an export template:

1. Make an export template
   1. Go to templates
   2. Click on New
   3. Fill in the General Settings tab
      1. Set Choose your template to Export
      2. Give the template a name
      3. Set the delimiters you want to use
   4. Fill in the Export tab
      1. Choose the template type
      2. Fill in any other options to your liking
   5. Fill in the E-mail tab if you wish to e-mail the report
   6. Click on Save
2. Tell the template what to export
   1. Select the template by clicking on the radio button
   2. Click on Fields
      There are 2 ways of adding fields, first is the Quick Add or the New Field bar. Below is the New Field bar described.
      
   3. Fill in the field order in the New Field order box
   4. Choose what field you want to export in the New field name dropdown box
   5. Optional: Fill in a New column header if you do not want the field name to appear in the export file
   6. Optional: Fill in a New default value if you want to export this value if there is no data in the database for this field
   7. If Available: Set the New replace value to yes if you want CSVI VirtueMart to replace your export value with a replacement you have set in the Replacement section
   8. Click on the + sign to add the field to the template
   9. Repeat step 3 - 8 for as many fields as you wish to export
3. Click on Export
4. Select the template you just made by clicking on the radio button
5. Fill in any other options at the bottom if you want
6. Click on Export in the top right corner
7. The file will now be offered for download
