You can only use a field time. Have a look at the attribute (http://www.csvimproved.com/csvi-virtuemart-documentation/available-fields/attribute.html) field documentation. It explains how to add more than 1 attribute to your product.

Hello,

Hello I have some products that have the same SKUs but are in different categories. It is my understanding that this is a csvi issue and not virtuemart. Correct, CSVI does not support the same SKU for different products as it uses the SKU as unique identifier for a product. The SKU being the stock keeping unit should actually be unique. If you have for example a HP desktop with SKU HP01 and a HP printer with HP01, how would you know which product it is? There is another issue in this field also that is a child product with multiple parent products. This is not supported either, although it should be possible. Like a keyboard that can belong to multiple PC's.

Now it is possible to add the same product to multiple categories without duplicating the product. In the category_path (http://www.csvimproved.com/csvi-virtuemart-documentation/available-fields/categorypath.html) field you can separate multiple categories by a pipe-symbol |.

I set it to 500 records and it works AWESOME! I no longer have to carve up my input files! THANKS! For others reading this post ... you will see a "time running" counter as it processes each chuck of records from the file. The total number of records processed is displayed and the timer will reset to zero everytime it grabs a new chunck of records .. in this case 500. For me needs it works great!

THANKS!

Hello Paul,

There are a few problems with your file. All of the problems are explained in the Troubleshooing import errors (http://www.csvimproved.com/csvi-virtuemart-documentation/f.a.q/troubleshooting-import-errors.html) document.

The issues are:Encoding is not correctField data is not correct

It is also not advised to use any field ending with _id. In your file that is manufacturer_id and category_id. The category_id you can remove as you already have the category_path.

After these issues are corrected, I assume the import will go a lot better.

One final thing to check is if you have enable the Use column headers from configuration in the template settings.

Hello,

The debug log shows only users that already exist in VirtueMart. The only thing I see that might be an issue is that the BT address_type_name is set to "ship home" this is actually -default-. I don't think VM supports a different name for the BT address type only for shipping addresses. See if this resolves the users not showing up. They are in the system as CSVI VirtueMart does find a user info ID.

Hello,

The shipping rates import works the same way as the products import. The only difference is the fields you can use. If you look under the Available Fields menu in CSVI VirtueMart and filter on the shipping rates import you will get the list of fields you can use.

You can also input 1 shipping rate manually using VirtueMart and then do an export to see how it looks like for an import.

Is there another forum with kind of premium support? Yes there is. Those who have bought a subscription get access to the registered users forum. Here questions are answered first. Details about a subscription you can find here (http://www.csvimproved.com/csvi-virtuemart-documentation/f.a.q/subscription-questions.html).

No, but I will try your advices first. If the price doesn't show up at all, check if you have formatted the price field correctly. Documentation is in the Available Fields list.

Then only manufacturer import, right? Manufacturers is no problem. You can include the manufacturer_name with the product import. To import details about the manufacturer you will need to use the manufacturer details import.

@rflash68: I completely missed your post here.
I can not find any option for the import other than a delimted text file? Where do I tell CSVI I want to use an xml file? Not sure if you found your answer yet, as it is also in the CSVI VirtueMart Handbook but you don't need to tell CSVI VirtueMart what kind of file you are importing it will determine this based on the file extension.

@Mackenziella: You can use any spreadsheet you like. I use OpenOffice. The file you save will be CSV anyway, so that should be no problem.

Hello,

There is no more support for CSV Improved 0.9 since last year. You are advised to use the latest community release version 1.9.

The error shows that you are using a very low memory limit. I cannot remember if there are any settings for that in version 0.9. Version 0.9 does read the whole export into memory before exporting, so you have to have enough memory to do an export. Version 1.9 exports immediately and thus requires a lot less memory.
