I tried to export a list of products with their urls but every time I get an empty sheet with:

product_sku	product_name	product_url	category_name	category_path	product_in_stock	product_desc	product_s_desc

I read on the forum it could have something to do with sh404sef, if you disable it I don't get the URL's I need for my SEO job.

Virtuemart version: 1.1.3
CSVI VirtueMart Version: 2.1.3
Joomla:1.5.14
Sh404sef:1.5.6.398

Kind regards,

Hello,

I can confirm this warning has been fixed already in the subscribers release. Actually the subscribers release is fully compatible with PHP 5.3. Only thing is that Joomla and VirtueMart itself are not yet. I guess a lot more code is not 5.3 compatible yet :)

Hello,

While importing my products I would like to import some custom fields, how do I do the same ? This depends on how you have hacked VirtueMart. If these custom fields are in the jos_vm_product table, it shouldn't be a problem. Go to Maintenance and choose Update Available Fields. After that is finished your own fields should be available.

While importing products how do I associate it with categories ? Use the field category_path (http://www.csvimproved.com/csvi-virtuemart-documentation/available-fields/categorypath.html).

Hello,

First of all it throws up a warning that I haven't registered the product If you haven't bought a subscription, then yes, it will say so.

1. Do thumb nail images get generated automatically ? If you set the import template to generate them yes.

2. Is it not possible to upload product images via CSVI ? No, you cannot upload the actual images via CSVI VirtueMart, you will have to do this via FTP.

but it is very complicated for me. The best advice I can give is to start with only maybe 5 products. Figure out the changes you need to make and once you have that figured out, you can do the same for all other products.

I opened your file in a spreadsheet (OpenOffice) and it opens fine here. Now looking at the file with a text editor shows a bunch of gibberish.

You have a lot of lost commas flying around in your file. This starts at the first line, at the end is a comma that doesn't belong there. After line 11 there are more than another 800 lines with a comma.

The 10 sample lines that are there end with a " that doesn't belong there either. Your file seems to have a mix of delimiters. The file should really be cleaned up before you can use it.

However, the CSV export is still breaking apart the descriptions when a comma is detected into multiple columns. The export or the import? This is not a file the export of CSVI VirtueMart would create.

Is it possible that since i did not include a ~ in the original description during the upload using .XLS format, that when exporting in CSV, it does not recognize where text begins and ends merely based on column headers? Not possible because XLS import does not use delimiters because all data is contained in cells.

Hello,

Do you know how I can do? I see only the CSVI v.1.9 ... The v.2 is out? Version 2.0 is only available for users who have bought a subscription.

In export template I added the custom field with product_discount for the coloumn title and no default value inserted BUT:

1 - When I have a product with discounted price, in this method the csvi doesn't export any value...so in my csv the column product_discount is totally empty (so it lost all my discounted price that I inserted) The custom field will indeed not export anything if you leave the default value open. If you put in the default value all the values will be the same.

This can be the only solution (workaround) possible? Everytime that I import the csv I must delete 0.0 in discount list in VM? I can do it...but.... The other work around is to make a file with only products that have a discount and a file with only products that have no discount. Then the no discount products will not get any discount.
