Looking for a useful answer?

Read this first and make sure you checked all steps: www.csvimproved.com/frequently-asked-questions/635-troubleshooting-import-errors

Don't just say it doesn't work but describe in detail what is happening and add the following information:
* VirtueMart version
* CSVI version (Latest is not a version number)
* Sample of the file being imported
* Collected debug information

Without this information you won't get a useful answer. If no debug log is attached, you will get a request to post it.

Where to get the debug information?

A tutorial (www.csvimproved.com/frequently-asked-questions/390-how-to-collect-debug-information) has been written to help you collect your debug information. For CSVI 3, there is a video available (www.csvimproved.com/downloads/file/18-collect-debug-information)

TOPIC: Import CSV File whit CSVI Virtuemart 1.9

Import CSV File whit CSVI Virtuemart 1.9 1 year 7 months ago #23387

Hello all. I'm creating an e-commerce with Joomla + Virtuemart. I installed virtuemart Csvi for importing lists of suppliers (PIXMANIA) but not much that I made.
How do I know what each particular field? I am sent by the link file to someone and then tell me how to set the template for the import? I would do a great pleasure. I ask this because reading the guides I did not understand because my English is not good or if we have already made templates where you just change the symbol of separation indcarmelo you?
Thank you very much
regards
Fabio

Hello Fabio,

There are no "fixed" templates for any supplier as every supplier has it's own format and often need modifications to the file.

Take 1 product from your file, put it in VirtueMart by hand and then export your product. You can then see what shows up in which field. You will need to match the fields of your csv file to the VirtueMart fields.
Kind regards,

Hello,

Attachment is not added I guess because the file is too big. The full PixPro feed is about 20MB I know that.
so now, if i want upload it to my virtuemart i need EDIT this file, right?
No need to edit this file, you can map their fields to the CSVI fields. For each column in the PixPro file, add a field to the import template. For unknown fields use the skip field.
Kind regards,

RolandD
