Looking for a useful answer?

Read this first and make sure you checked all steps: www.csvimproved.com/frequently-asked-questions/635-troubleshooting-import-errors

Don't just say it doesn't work but describe in detail what is happening and add the following information:
* VirtueMart version
* CSVI version (Latest is not a version number)
* Sample of the file being imported
* Collected debug information

Without this information you won't get a useful answer. If no debug log is attached, you will get a request to post it.

Where to get the debug information?

A tutorial (www.csvimproved.com/frequently-asked-questions/390-how-to-collect-debug-information) has been written to help you collect your debug information. For CSVI 3, there is a video available (www.csvimproved.com/downloads/file/18-collect-debug-information)

Have you tried to not let CSVI create the thumbnails and let VirtueMart do so?
yes, CSVI makes thumbnails in resized folder on the server without any size at the end.
Virtuarmart is doing it with size at the end.

These are not thumbnails though but the full images. Are you importing your image names as example.jpg or with the full path? If with the full path, you either need to remove the path from your import file.
I'm importing my images as example.jpg path is entered in import template.

I'm attaching my test database (try to add 2 pictures to SKU 169)

this is debug message after adding that database (I think it looks fine)

yes, CSVI makes thumbnails in resized folder on the server without any size at the end.
Virtuarmart is doing it with size at the end.
That solves the problem then or not?

The import log looks fine except that the thumbnails have the wrong name. I checked the changelog and this is an issue fixed in CSVI 2.

You could modify VirtueMart to just take a normal image name and not attach the size to it or let VirtueMart create the thumb image.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,

I think you misunderstood my comment about letting VirtueMart create the thumbnails. What I mean is that you upload the large images using CSVI but not let CSVI create a thumbnail. You enable the thumbnail creation in VM. When customers/bots visit your site, VirtueMart will create the thumbnails on the fly. So you don't have to do it manually.

Yes it's a bug in the free version, of course not normal. It might get fixed, I don't know. Since Joomla 1.5 support is ending.
Kind regards,

RolandD
