Looking for a useful answer?

Read this first and make sure you checked all steps: www.csvimproved.com/frequently-asked-questions/635-troubleshooting-import-errors

Don't just say it doesn't work but describe in detail what is happening and add the following information:
* VirtueMart version
* CSVI version (Latest is not a version number)
* Sample of the file being imported
* Collected debug information

Without this information you won't get a useful answer. If no debug log is attached, you will get a request to post it.

Where to get the debug information?

A tutorial (www.csvimproved.com/frequently-asked-questions/390-how-to-collect-debug-information) has been written to help you collect your debug information. For CSVI 3, there is a video available (www.csvimproved.com/downloads/file/18-collect-debug-information)

hello,
I have VM 1.1.9 and CSVI 3.8.1.
I imported bulk products in virtuemart by "product import" of CSVI, I also imported manufacturers in virtuemart by "manufacturer import details import" of CSVI.

But I don't know how to update a product's "manufacturer" field by CSVI. There is "products list" and "manufacturers list" in VM but when I click on a product, its manufacturer property is set to "manufacturer (default)", not to something like "adidas" or "nike" or else.

I need to make a connection between products table and manufacturer table.
Any help please?

Hello,
I need to make a connection between products table and manufacturer table.
You can set this up by doing a product import and include the manufacturer_name field in your import file.
Kind regards,

I tried that but when I click "import" button, a page comes up and it asks for "user and password"?! then I enter my admin user and password, it redirects to admin panel of joomla web site?!

CSVI Pro is well worth the money. I upgraded from the free version to the pro version and am glad I did. Not only do you get an upgrade to more powerful software, you get excellent tech support. I highly recommend this product!
