CSVI Pro 5.9.6 released
Big changes are ahead of us as the Joomla team keeps moving forward and new versions come out on a regular basis and we have reached Joomla 3.1. Of course I am glad to say that CSVI Pro runs just fine on Joomla 3.1 and in this regard some fixes were needed and are included in todays release.
The CSVI Pro 5.9.6 release is a stability release and mostly contain fixes. These fixes are:
- Error on using Scroller with Tabs import
- Certain product fields not updated on VirtueMart Product import
- Fixed SQL dates in queries
- Fixed AkeebaSubs filter fields errors
- Fixed manufacturer_name not always filled on VirtueMart Product export
- Fixed tmp_path on About page
This time 3 new fields were added for the K2 Item export:
- item_url
Gives you the direct link to a K2 item - image_url
Gives you the direct link to the large image of a K2 item - image_url_thumb
Give you the direct link to the small image of a K2 item
In the export template you can specify which image CSVI should use for the direct link.
Magic Quotes
Magic Quotes have long been a source of problems and as such it is now no longer possible to install CSVI Pro on servers where magic quotes are enabled. It has always been a requirement to have Magic Quotes turned off but now it is also enforced. To read more about Magic Quotes see the information page on Magic Quotes.
This release is available for free to everyone with an active subscription from the Download section. If you do not have a subscription yet, you can subscribe here.
End of free support
To deal with the number of support requests posted on the forum and the effort that goes with it, it is no longer possible to offer this service for free. Free support on the forum will end on February 28th 2013, however any existing tickets will still be handled until solved. To receive support on the CSVI Free version a 10-day support subscription for € 9,99 excluding tax will be made available. This gives you 10 day access to the forum for posting any questions you have.

CSVI Pro 4.1
Steaming from the oven, here is CSVI Pro 4.1. This release does not only bring fixes but also new features. What you will find in this release is:

As you can see a lot of work has been put into this release, as always ;) The biggest feature is the changes to the replacement feature. You can now add multiple replacement rules to a single field, this can be used to replace a field with multiple values. Further you can now also do multiple value replacements. This means that you can search a field for value ab,cd and ef, when they are found they can be replaced with 12,34 and 56. A tutorial will be made later this week to explain the usage in detail.
The new CSVI Pro 4.1 can be downloaded from the download section if you have an active subscription.
There is no update yet for CSVI 4.0, this will follow next week.
CSVI Analyzer
Let me introduce to you CSVI Analyzer. The tool to check your CSV file for possible issues.

- Select the file to analyzer
- Check/Uncheck if your file has column headers
- Input the number lines to show for possible encoding issues
- Click Analyze to check your file
How to install?
The file is not a Joomla extension. Download the zip file and unpack the 2 files to a location of your choice e.g. the folder where Joomla is installed. Point your browser to the program e.g. www.example.com/csvi_analyzer.php.
Where to download?
CSVI Analyzer is available from the download section after you have logged in.
