Looking for a useful answer?

Read this first and make sure you checked all steps: www.csvimproved.com/frequently-asked-questions/635-troubleshooting-import-errors

Don't just say it doesn't work but describe in detail what is happening and add the following information:
* VirtueMart version
* CSVI version (Latest is not a version number)
* Sample of the file being imported
* Collected debug information

Without this information you won't get a useful answer. If no debug log is attached, you will get a request to post it.

Where to get the debug information?

A tutorial (www.csvimproved.com/frequently-asked-questions/390-how-to-collect-debug-information) has been written to help you collect your debug information. For CSVI 3, there is a video available (www.csvimproved.com/downloads/file/18-collect-debug-information)

I havent been able to export any of my data from my virtuemart database. I was able to get the column titles which allowed me to import my products. I tried to make a template to export out the bare minimum but that also returned an error. In my log for CSVI it says ........
"Illegal mix of collations (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_unicode_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation '=' SQL=SELECT `product_name`, `product_url`, `product_desc`, jos_vm_product.product_id AS main_product_id, jos_vm_product.product_sku, jos_vm_product.product_full_image, jos_vm_product_price.product_price, jos_vm_product_price.product_currency, jos_csvi_currency.currency_code, jos_csvi_currency.currency_rate, mf_name AS manufacturer_name, `product_width`, `product_weight`, `product_length`, `product_in_stock`, `attribute` FROM jos_vm_product LEFT JOIN jos_vm_product_price ON jos_vm_product.product_id = jos_vm_product_price.product_id LEFT JOIN jos_vm_product_mf_xref ON jos_vm_product.product_id = jos_vm_product_mf_xref.product_id LEFT JOIN jos_vm_shopper_group ON jos_vm_product_price.shopper_group_id = jos_vm_shopper_group.shopper_group_id LEFT JOIN jos_vm_product_discount ON jos_vm_product.product_discount_id = jos_vm_product_discount.discount_id LEFT JOIN jos_vm_manufacturer ON jos_vm_product_mf_xref.manufacturer_id = jos_vm_manufacturer.manufacturer_id LEFT JOIN jos_vm_tax_rate ON jos_vm_product.product_tax_id = jos_vm_tax_rate.tax_rate_id LEFT JOIN jos_vm_product_attribute ON jos_vm_product.product_id = jos_vm_product_attribute.product_id LEFT JOIN jos_vm_product_attribute_sku ON jos_vm_product.product_id = jos_vm_product_attribute_sku.product_id LEFT JOIN jos_vm_product_category_xref ON jos_vm_product.product_id = jos_vm_product_category_xref.product_id LEFT JOIN jos_vm_category ON jos_vm_product_category_xref.category_id = jos_vm_category.category_id LEFT JOIN jos_csvi_currency ON jos_vm_product_price.product_currency = jos_csvi_currency.currency_code GROUP BY `product_name`, `product_url`, `product_desc`, `product_sku`, `product_price`, mf_name, `product_width`, `product_weight`, `product_length`, `product_in_stock`, `attribute` ORDER BY jos_vm_product.product_sku"

Any ideas what any of this means?

My mistake, that link goes to the registered users forum. What it says is you can use the Phoca collation tool to correct the collation on your tables.
Kind regards,

Ok, I see whats going on with that tool. All I have to do is upload the file and call it with the right database info plugged into it. When I get to work tomorrow I'm going to give it a shot and I'll post my success or failure here.

I am on Joomla: Version 1.5.25
CSVI 1.9.2

I just used the Change Collation tool you described and ran it successfully.

Still cannot export the VM User Tables.
My CSV only has the header in it with no data.

Oddly enough, the templates that come with CSVI export just fine.
