How to install VmCategoryBot

VmCategoryBot is a standard Joomla plugin and can be installed using the Joomla installer. There are 2 versions of VmCategoryBot, the Joomla 1.0 and the Joomla 1.5 version. Make sure you have the right one for your system.

 

Joomla 1.0

The name of the file should be mambot_vmcategorybot_1.0_j10.zip. To install the plugin take these steps:

  1. Log in to the administrator back-end of Joomla
  2. Click on Installers → Mambots
  3. Browse to your local file
  4. Click on "Upload File & Install"

The plugin is now installed but not yet active. To activate the plugin take these steps:

  1. Click on Mambots → Site mambots
  2. Click on VmCategoryBot
  3. Set Published to Yes
  4. Click on Save

The installation is now complete.

Joomla 1.5

The name of the file should be plugin_vmcategorybot_1.0_j15.zip. To install the plugin take these steps:

  1. Log in to the administrator back-end of Joomla
  2. Click on Extensions → Install/Uninstall
  3. Browse to your local file
  4. Click on "Upload File & Install"

The plugin is now installed but not yet active. To activate the plugin take these steps:

  1. Click on Extensions → Plugin Manager
  2. Click on VmCategoryBot
  3. Set Enabled to Yes
  4. Click on Save

The installation is now complete.
